    Quick wattage question

What lamp wattage would I need for a 30 gallon tank? After reading a couple threads, would a 75 watt be sufficient? I know lamps can kill humidity, but I don't know how else I would get the right temps.

This is what i have used for a year now, but since my snake has outgrown her enclosure i am going to a rack system very soon!

Well, the tank I'm hopefully getting is actually acrylic. It's basically the clear acrylic (like the doors on normal acrylic cages, I think) all the way around with front doors and locks and a sliding screen top. I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not, glass or clear acrylic.

It has nothing to do with the glass, it has 100% to do with the screen top of the cage. you are going to have the same humidity issues with the cage you described that you would with a glass tank. To avoid this issue you need a cage with a solid top like a tub or PVC cage
