32 quart. They do not have to have a tall area, just space to climb on. I use eggs cartons and bend them around and cut them where needed. Most people use the taller tubs because they can stand the egg cartons up making more room, but I do not need that many, have 20 breeding girls and 10 boys, and pull babies as they arrive and get big enough, to keep them from pestering the adults. I have another tub to grow the babies in I do use a lid on the tubs, just to be safe
