Bearded Dragon with cut foot
OK so My little bearded Dragon seems to have cut her foot somehow. I'm really at a loss for how as there isn't anything sharp in her tank. The only think I can think of is she got bit by a cricket... is this what a cricket bite looks like? seems too big to me

Is there anything that I need to do? I have already pulled apart her cage and sterilized everything.

Ouch! Have you dipped her foot in a Betadine dilution? I would try that, to help prevent infection.

Not yet (it's 3:00 AM where I live and I didn't have any on hand) that is the first thing I'm going to do in the morning.

Cricket bites can be that big. I've never seen a bloody cricket bite before though. She should be fine. You may want to smear a little triple antibiotic on it if you have any on hand.

ok, so I have soaked her foot in a betadine bath twice now today. She also is shedding currently and shed her cut foot earlier.
It looks slightly better already, at this point all I am doing s giving her a betadine soak twice a day and keeping her cage sterilized.
She has a shallow water dish and has been soaking her foot herself for most of the day.
Is there anything else I should/need to do?

You're probably fine. Looks like a cricket got a nasty bite and your little guy might have dropped a scale or something. Should heal up fine in the next couple of weeks.
Side note: I hope you're not leaving crickets in with your dragon after feeding time... but if for some reason you absolutely must, leave something in there for the crickets to eat so they don't bite your dragon. I'm assuming you have greens in the cage, but if not then try that.

No, I actually feed in a seperate cage to avoide that issue.

Thanks, I just wish I knew exactly how this happened. It just showed up one day.

Hmm... then perhaps there's more to this mystery after all!!
Sorry your little guy is hurt though!
As an aside, have you looked into other feeder insects? Crickets are evil and smell like sin.
