Do you use hides for adults

Like the title says, I'm wondering if you need hides for adult snakes. I currently have 2, 2011 babies so its not a huge deal right now but I am wondering if adult BP's or carpets need hides.

it depends on your setup, tubs are like a giant hide so you don't rally need hides with them.

Tanks/PVC/wood cages are too open and will require hides throughout the snakes life

I use hides in my cages and in my tubs. My adult tubs are all cb70 tubs and i use big pvc pipes cut at 2 ft and put em in longwise so it its both the warm and cool sides so the aninal can choose what side it wants to hang in. My carpets have the same hides in their cages

I just bought 2 large RBI hides for my two big girls this past week and so far theyve just sat on top of them. I have them in a rack so i dont "need" them but i always kept a cereal box in there for them. They always used the cereal boxes but havent wanted anything to do with the RBI hides yet. Go figure lol
I spend like $12 on some nice hides for them an they repay me by not using them hahaha

Haha thats funny, thats what I am using right now. Im really happy with the quality of the hides. I just figured as they got bigger and were more confident in themselves they wouldn't need hides.

Once my animals hit about 1500 grams, I stop offering hides. I use racks.

I've been advised that it's best to never give females hides, but always provide males hides if they like them.

I use racks/tubs and hides for all my BPs.

My big three adult girls are all in a rack and only one of them has a hide in their tub (she seems more comfortable with one, the other two are fine without hides).
