I love being a bp owner
My 22inch male is doing good. He loves the heat mat, just took him a bit to get the hang of it (previous owner used lamps)
Maybe ill try feeding in a few days, as hes a little guy and he didnt eat last week case of shedding

My mat and temps are correct, but hes cold to the touch, is this simply how cold blooded animals feel?

after mine sit on their UTH's for a few hours they are warm. A BP shouldn't feel ice cold but remember how high our bod temperature is compared to theirs.
i would wait a full 7 days from the day you got him to let him settle in. try not to candle him or feed him until then.

Re: I love being a bp owner
Mine feel cold at times and warm at other depends on where the snake wanted to lay if your temps are correct this shouldnt be an issue. Remember we function at aprox 98.3 so a 80(ish) degree snake will feel cool to the touch sometimes.

Also, I have noticed a few times you mentioned your BP didn't eat because of shed ??
You can feed while in shed, I wouldn't attempt live but F/T is ok to offer !

Yeah and im tryn not to touch him, i wanted to make sure he was still there and everything was fine lol, hes just so neat
The guy that owned him also said it was ok to handle (but i trust youz guyz better, especially merchant, hes a bo$$
He said he "trained them" to be handled by putting them in his pockets, and handling them all day, the snakes he had (he had soooo many) all seemed healthy, and had fierce appetites (one grabbed the rat, tongs, and almost a hand (this was a full sized female red tail, so a hand would not be wise to put in its mouth haha
Well ill try to leave him be, easier now that the tank is stable and the temp has been 94 since 2, so i seem to have a handle on heat till my new tstat arrives.
Man, snakes are awesome.
On a side note, the feeder rat he game me seems too big, its deff a smidge thicker than Loki
