You have a yellow tanimbar blue tongue skink. They are generally a very defensive skink, not aggressive though. You just got it so you should leave it in the cage for a couple of days to allow him to become accustomed to the environment. Then eventually you can start handling him a little bit everyday until he become used to you. Do not force handling! That will only stress out the skink. For more information make an account here:
