When to move to adult enclosure?
At what size do you move a burm to it's final enclosure? I'm getting ready to build my burm's enclosure but I'd rather just build the big one now (an 8x3) rather than build one in the middle.
My girl is about 5ft now, i was thinking if I couldn't move here to the 8x3, what size would suffice for a while til she can be moved to her final enclosure?

If you are going to build your own cage, why not make a divider to put in it? that way you can go ahead and get him in it and take the divider out once he gets big enough. Really though, I don't think a cage that big would stress him out to much anyway.

That's a good idea but I think having a giant half empty enclosure sitting next to my desk for a few years would bother me.

 I thought about it! I've been put on "don't buy anymore snakes" probation though.
How long could I get away with the 6x2? A year or 2?

ive moved 5-6 footers into adult cages and never had a problem

Should be no problem at all. Why would it be? Provide your proper temps and hides and you're good to go  .
