    Got my first egg!!!!

Well I was giving up hope and checked the lay box this morning and BAM, one healthy egg! This may be her first egg.

I candled it and saw a good sized vein and it gave of a orangeish glow. The shell looks great.

I mixed the vermiculite by weight (32g ver and 32g water) and sealed it in a little container, and placed that inside a small cooler box with some water bottles. I will burp the container weekly. I will leave this at room temperature (75-78). If anyone has other suggestions please say so.

I am pretty stoked to see what comes out.

Congrats! I know you've been waiting awhile. I'm glad she laid and isn't egg bound. Keep in mind lower incubation temperatures have been proven to create cresteds with better structure. I haven't had any personal experience with it but that's what I plan I doing when I finally start breeding.

    Keep us posted.

Thanks! I was beginning to get worried, but I guess the move must have delayed things a bit.
