Thermometer Probe placing in glass tank

Hello! Ive searched the forum, without really finding what im looking for, so im starting a new thread.

    Heres the setup.

the temperature measurments written is taken by laying the probe on top of substrate
under heatspot/lamp and on top of substrate over UTH,

Im looking for the best place to permanently place the probes.
one for ambient temp and one some place for the heatlamp,

    where would you recomend?

First off is the heat bulb actually in the tank? And if so is it completely caged in so the snake can't get to it?

I would place one probe centered over the UTH, I prefer to put them on the glass.

I would place the other probe directly under the heat lamp either on top of the hide or in the substrate. Just don't put it inside the hide as the reading will be lower than the actual temp if the probe is inside the hide.
