Is my BP constipated?
Hey everybody, my girl Irwin is at 164 grams, her husbandry is spot-on. I fed her two hopper mice last Friday, it's been almost a week. I had to go home for a family emergency but was only gone two days, and when I got back today I expected see poop/pee/urates or SOMETHING! But nothing at all. I picked her up and towards the bottom of her body she felt very firm and hard. I figure she's constipated so I'm going to give her a warm bath later tonight. But just curious, is this for sure constipation? Or possibly something else?

She should be fine. They dont all poop once a week, I wouldnt stress out about it.

Some BP's only will poo after they shed. they don't poo after every meal like animals with higher metabolisms do. Since younger BP's convert almost all of their food into growth they tend to poo less frequently.

Oh also, when I picked her up today, she usually wraps around my hand.. But the bottom part of her body just dangled like couldn't wrap it around me. I mean she moves fine, just seems like she's uncomfortable or something.

I would personally get her off of mice and on to rats, and maybe increase the food size. Not pooping for a couple feeds is fine. Also you can run her body between your fingers lightly pressing on her belly, if there are urates that are there you will be able to feel it.

See that's the thing, she feels extremely firm towards the bottom of her body towards her tail. That's why I assume she is constipated.

you can try a lukewarm bath and massage the area near her vent in a downward motion. I have heard this having success with bloods and I have had success using this method with an extremely impacted bearded dragon.
Besides a bath couldn't really do much harm...

hatchlings barely poop but once a month, as their growing and need all of the meal.

Well as people have said hatchlings tend not to poop as frequently as adults but if i were you id stop handling her and feeling how firm she is bc shes gunna decide to take a dump while youre doing that lol.
Think about it: you have to go to the bathroom and someone is palpating your stomach lol...
