to robin: I have never had another escape, and i would never let them escape repeatedly. That's so irresponsible i don't have words for it. You're supposed to protect your pets and take care of them the best you can, not do things like let them wander around on purpose. They are captives, you are supposed to take care of them. doesn't even sound like you really care. what you think it's a little joy ride for the snake to go out exploring? don't think he can get hurt, or accidentally get stepped on, or go down a drain, or get behind something and get stuck. But you just let them escape and think it's no big deal *rolls eyes*

anyway, back to the OP. THe snake is probably in an appliance. The best thing you can do is to unscrew the screws on the dryer or washer and lift off the top or the front panel. We just did this the other day to our dryer to clean it out. There is a LOT of space around in there for a snake to hide and access. think of the last place you think the snake would go and that is probably where it's hiding *lol*
your right .. your always right.

I lost mine for a while yesterday(fell asleep with her out, not one of my best moves). I spent all morning looking for her before going to work and wound up coming home on my lunch break to try and find her.

After tearing apart the entire apartment(including refridgerator and oven) I found that she had climbed up on top of a tub(about 3 feet tall) and climbd up on top of two smaller containers before going inside a box on top that was open. In total, she was about 4 feet off above the floor.

My point in this story is don't underestimate their ability to climb. They can get a lot higher than you would initially imagine.

OK, you let the snake roam free. I don't agree with your choice, but am not going to go on the attack. Anyway, lets end this here. It's spamming the thread and taking away from those trying to help the OP.

Back on topic, I've never found a missing snake more than 10 feet from its cage. I also suggest using tin foil if you have a carpet floor. It does the same thing as flour on carpet, and is easier to clean up. Just lay long sheets of it out (Shiny side down), and watch for snake trail shaped crinkles in the foil. I have a friend who has used this method a few times, and it always worked for him.

this is what i wrote...I do let my snake roam my room.

this was also posted on the link above but u may not have seen it since its on the 2nd page.
This is how i catch mine. Mine gets out all the time. But I allow it to , sometimes. Don't go out and buy this stuff just improvise with what you have handy.

Take F/T or live (bait) whatever yours eats, Put it in a aquarium with screen lid on it so the smell of the rat can get out. Then just get some plastic cups and put some coins in them and place them on top of the tank and or around it. Trust me it will Knock one of them over and wake you up.
You can variate the method to suit your needs.
You can also put cups of coins around the walls of the room since this is usually where they like to travel. Much like the plastic bags Ash mentioned, I just find that a cup of coins hitting the floor will pretty much wake the dead. You can also try using a fan to blow on the mouse so it will get the smell of the mouse throughout the house. Try setting the cups precariously at a tilt to where they are just about to fall over.
To even go simpler you could just put your bait mouse on a plate and place it on top of a cup of coins.

with a house that empty I would also use the flour method as mentioned above.
    PM me if you like.

    Good luck

Wow guys o.o no comment on the argument- but also still no luck yet. Later on tonight I'm going to check out the fridge and washer when my brother gets off work because I can't move them myself. Thanks for the support, I'll update tomorrow on whether or not he was hiding in the appliances. I do find it odd though that if he is in one that he has stayed there for like 3 days. I know bps are lazy but I thought mine was more active.
