Should I bump up the enclosure size?
I've been wondering if I should move my BP Dannie to a bigger enclosure. Currently he's in a 12.7 qt Sterilite tub (couldn't find it on their website but the dimensions are 15''L x 11.5''W x 6''H). He's approx. 2 ft long and about 235 grams. He's just grown like a weed so that's why I asked, from what I've read you usually want to bump up the enclosure size when the snake is twice as long as the tub/tank itself, right? haha not sure. I always considered that for corn snakes but this is still my first BP.
I can always go to Wal-mart sometime and check the sizes or tubs they have, or I still have a 10 and 20 gallon long glass tank I can use, but I learned before that they're bad at humidity and temperature.
Any suggestions? It's just VERY cramped in his tub right now lol... can barely fit the second hide in with his water bowl! I didn't want him to feel /too/ secure or cramped.
Thanks!

I'd stick with tubs or PVC Reptile cages, tanks are a nightmare.
The gerenal rule is that you need 1 square foot of floor space per foot of BP. I start my BP's out in a 2 x 2 x 1 foot cage, and eventually move them up to a 4 x 2 x 1 foot cage.

Ok, thanks! I guess I have been squashing him in there a little bit then, my fault. I will see to getting him a proper size tub I'm sure he will feel a lot better afterwards being able to stretch out.

Have you ever used tubs/ PVC cages? I liked my tanks before I used tubs/PVC cages as well.

You aren't squishing him at all. If he is only 235 grams currently he should be fine in that tub. My BP's are in a V-18 tub(18"x7.5"x3.5") until they are in the 4-500 gram range.

If hes only 235grams then you arent squishing him in there really. Id move him to a 32qt when you get a chance or at least by when he hits 400ish grams...
