It varies by state, but a national ban is soon going to be in place that bans the sale and interstate transportation of the Burmese python (Python molurus bivittatus), the yellow anaconda (Eunectes notaeus), and two subspecies of the African python (Python sebae)

I just want to make a note that it bans interstate sale and transportation. They are legal to own, buy, and sell within state lines but the sale or the snake cannot cross state lines.
