Thanks everyone. I will keep him in quatantine for atleast 6 months maybe more. I may consider building a quarantine rack, since my ball pythons really prefer the racks over tanks. Here are a couple more questions on quarantine. I know that the quarantine rack should not be in the same room as the rest of my snakes, but how far away does it need to be? Is the next room over ok? Or a space outside of the reptile room ok? Or does it really need to be completely across the house? The reason I ask is the back part of my house, which is my critter's part of the house, is set up like this; walk into the laundry room and it goes to the back part of the house. Walk into a small hallway-ish and on the left is my reptile room, on the right is the door to garage/dog training room, followed by a nook that use to be a closet that is now gutted and straight forward is my dog grooming area. I was wondering if the nook/closet could be turned into a small quarantine area, even with it being across a small hall. Other wise I will see about setting a up a rack in my room.
