Why a blood python
Well I'm looking at getting a hog island boa, or a blood python to add to my collection. For those or you with blood pythons let's here why they are great, or not so great......sell me!

Bloods arent as forgiving when it comes to husbandry issues as hogs are. The require cooler temps, higher humidity.

blood pythons are awesome in many ways, their normal color pattern rocks, they are not mainstream like balls, and they do not live up to the aggressive nature that they are said to have.

They're gorgeous.
They have a unique body style all their own.
They can reach impressive sizes without being "too big".
They aren't "everywhere".

It's entirely a matter of personal preference; they are both great snakes, though entirely different (just about opposites). I would recommend finding an adult blood and an adult boa and spending some time handling them separately.
I love how stout bloods are, and they are so full of personality. If you go CB, temperament isn't going to be an issue, but they can be a handful when they want to be.
Boas are typically more laid-back and are not quite as 'fun' as bloods when it comes to handling (though young/subadult boas can be very sassy!), but it does mean that they're good hang out snakes... If I want to hang out with a pet while I work or surf the web, I usually take one of my boas. My Borneo, though a total sweetie, is a bit more high-maintenance (for lack of a better word) when it comes to handling.
I personally prefer boas, mostly because of their more arboreal tendencies and their quirky personalities. That said, I absolutely adore my Borneo and you really can't go wrong with either.

Thanks the more I think about it, I will probably just get both seeing as I do like both animals and I have the room.

I love bloods. Idk if i like bloods or black bloods better though
If i wanted to get a boa though hogs would probably be my preference bc of their more manageable size. I like the idea of getting both though
