    Sand boa shedding issues

My sand boa has been stuck in shed for a week now. Today is the second time I pulled him out and sprayed him with some shed sprat that is supposed to help. I then usually put a look warm damp paper towel in a critter keeper for a half hour. So far the shed is peeling around his head but won't come all the way off. I put some large rocks in the enclosure to rub up against but no luck.

Let him do it on his own. Spraying him off and getting him wet can actually do more harm then good bc it washes away the natural oils that he has to help shed.

mike that is just not true.

Put the snake in a critter keeper with some warmth, and fill it with damp paper towels or damp cloth towels. Stick one rock in there to add weight to the item he is slithering around in (towels) and that shed will come right off guaranteed. It's hard to keep moisture on sand boas, but you will see that shed come off within hours if you head my advice. Good luck!
14 snakes, 12 bugs, 1 skink, 1 frog, 2 dogs, and tons of fresh and saltwater fish. I've also begun snake rescue. What a ride!
