Spider with VERY bright yellow back?

Today I saw in a shop a bunch of spider ball pythons. They do not look very well started to be honest, are quite small, and normally I would not consider buying them. They look like the "leftovers" that were not sold, although that sounds cruel I guess, sorry.

There was one spider in the bunch that just looked different. It has a VERY golden/yellow stripe on the back. Like vertically along it's back. Usually that area is a little lighter than the rest, but this one there is a very distinct yellow stripe there, that was very distinct from the browns on either side.

Is this common and just something I never noticed? Or is there something going on there?

    Sorry no picture.

    Was it something like this?

Pictures don't do him any justice. He looks like someone took a yellow Hi-Liter pen to his back

There is a lot of variance in all ball pythons and this includes morphs. Doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary from your description. Might just be a higher quality spider standing out amongst standard or subpar specimens.

I assume that is what it looks like since you say the picture doesn't do it justice and I presume that in real life your snake color looks like the one I saw.

Some have high gold backs. Same thing goes for pins. Not too uncommon...

I love spiders with the yellow stripe. My first spider had it, and shes still my favorite.
