How long to wait to feed post lay female?

After your female lays her eggs, how long do you typically wait before offering food? Do I give her a week to rest? Longer/shorter?

I have had them eat the day after laying, but we usually wait 3-4 days

I usually feed them the next day.

I offer on the next planned feeding day, which means anywhere from 2-7 days later.
