New baby rack. What do you think?
So I finally decided to make a baby rack last night. What do you guys think? Cost around $85 for tubs and rack, heat not included.

Those are nice builds but ya might want to closebthe sidesband the back. Very cheap and easy. Get a sheet of blue back foam panel at home depot for 20 bucks. It insulates very well

nice, i thought of doing that type as well, but i just do not trust the lids being secure enough, not that i have ever had a problem with a snake popping the top off.

I will keep that in mind as far as insulating it. I have a adult rack the same type thats not insulated and seems to be doing alright but Ill look into that for this one.
As far as them popping off the lid you can make it more of a snug fit I just had a cheap saw that wasnt easy to work with and left it as is. Or you can put some panelling underneath each shelf and make it an even fit so you wouldnt need lids. Just was more work then I wanted to do.

Understand that all to well. i would have built my own as well this time around, but the misses wanted to go to pre-fabbed, so 5 weeks later, ( i could have had it done in 3 days), we are now waiting on Fed-Ex.

neither one of us are very patient waiting on things in the mail, especially the price we payed, we got the 60 iris tubs just days after the order, just been popping holes each day to get them ready for the rack. had we known there was a 5 week lead time before we made payment, we probably would have gone a different route at that time. still gonna use it if we do, but will be used for a quarantine/layaway rack in the future. Now we are stuck deciding on what control to go with, Helix DBS-1000 or Herpstat2 or 4. to order up this friday.

60 tubs what a pain, I was complaining about the 24 I was doing last night wood burners make it pretty easy though. Im thinking about adding another 4 shelves to this one I have. Where did you order your rack from?

we needed 45 for the rack from Animal Plastics, the IRIS330(15) 15 SHELVES HIGH, 45 TUBS TOTAL, so we just ordered 3 boxes of 20, to have a few extra in case some break, but i doubt they will, they are not brittle like steralite or rubber made tubs, we use a cheap soldiering iron for the holes ourselves, we prefer melting the holes versus drilling them.
