Free boa ~ no issues Manchester NH show

So i have to give my boa up because my girlfriend is worried about how large it may get. It is an anery boa i bought it at the last show in manchester. i know that it is very bad to give an animal away like this but my girlfriend was fine at the time and her family has spent two months freaking her out about the animal i would love for someone to either be able to pick it up in vermont or i could bring it to the manchester show although they say no personal pets. it weighs around 200 grams at the moment.

It MAY get too big for her comfort, might not, depends on your feeding habit. Id keep it around till you know and see how big it really gets. I can't speak for that particular boa, but all snakes don't grow exact same speed, size etc. Try convince her to keep it for awhile longer, i would anyway.

It's size also depends on what gender you're boa is. But even then, if you got a female BCI (that's what I'm assuming it is) you're looking at around 7-8 feet, if that, and for males you're looking at even less. The 8+ ones aren't particularly common, and like yeroc1982 said, feeding schedules can also help maintain the size of your boa so they grow at a rate you and your girlfriend are comfortable with (without underfeeding!).

It would be a shame if you gave it up before you even knew if it WOULD get big. See if you can work out a compromise where you give it a shot and see how it goes.

It would be a shame to give up your pet just because your girlfriend's parents are worried. It's YOUR pet. Also, I certainly don't mean to be a downer, but relationships don't always last. How would you feel if you got rid of your snake and then you and your girlfriend break up?
