What cause scales to go up
fang has a couple of scales little one that look like they are going up. He just shed and I noticed this before then , he is not over wait and was not in a small hide until now as he is in his tree which I know he is not stuck thank god as he has enough room to get out but he is in there realy weirdly.

Sometimes they snag a few scales during a shed, and usually they go back to normal after the following shed cycle. Mites (and possibly some illnesses) can also cause scales to stand up, but usually that happens all over - so if it's just one or two, more likely they just caught their scales on something recently.

No I do not have a pic and I do not know if a pic would be able to tell. they look like just the tips are up and clear. Lolo I think you may be right and he did just get rid of mites as well , been about 2 weeks since I have seen one.

Re: What cause scales to go up
Pictures would be helpful. I would guess though perhaps a hide to small, or, I would double check for the beggining of a new mite invasion. Hope all is well.
