Lol o I'm sure physically he could handle it. I just don't know how well a three year old will be at watching a mouse get eaten.

Kids + Snakes = Priceless
The best thing I ever did was purchase my son a female albino ball back in October from a reptile show in Richmond, VA. As a child it was always a dream of mine to house and breed snakes but my family would never allow it nor could they afford it. Every herp I ever owned was caught in the fields, ponds, and woods behind my house and I would keep it until they found out about it and would make me let it go. After purchasing this ball for my son I realized that I was now the deciding factor and that we could own whatever I wanted. My son (7 years old) and I decided that we wanted to actually start breeding so we began shopping and we now own 25 balls (9 that are breeding), have a snake room, and breed our own feeders. This has really pulled my son and I together and gives us something to look forward to with each other.

That's great, I started the same way going out into the woods as a kid a bringing snakes and newts home. I even brought one on the bus in the first grade, that didn't go so well. It is pretty cool that we can pick out any morph we want now that the kids just love. They are pretty spoiled if you ask me lol I was mostly stuck catching garter snakes. But anyway it's great to see someone else enjoying the hobby with their kids. Anything that stops a kid from being in front of a screen all day sounds good to me.
