Cleaning branches
I have a few branches in my terrarium, do they need to be cleaned as well when I clean the rest of the terrarium? And if yes, how? When I bought them (branches) one guy at the store said just to spot clean with soapy water if they poop on it and the other guy said to bleach them once a month.
Thanks!

Re: Cleaning branches
With branches I only clean them when I do a full cage cleaning, unless there is poo on it. To clean them I spray them with bleach water lightly and wipe them down then let them air dry. If there is poo then I spray it off with the garden hose then I do my bleaching process. If an animal gets sick or parasites (internal or external) I do the bleaching process then bake the stick in the oven at 400*F for about 15 minutes or so. Also if you bring a stick/ branch from the outdoors you should bake it as well.

Thanks so much I appreciate the quick reply... last question today... do I do the same with the fake plants? It's my first big cage cleaning... who knew it could be so stressful lol

You are starting to see the light young Jedi! There's a reason most long time BP keepers prefer simple set ups.

lol tell me about it! Took a LONG time to do everything, but it was worth it after seeing it looking great again! Not too sure if I'll want to be doing this for the next 20 years though lol
