I'm addicted to animals in general (see signature, lol) but before snakes it was never feasible to take care of more than a few at a time. Snakes are beautiful animals that don't need a lot of care, and also don't care if you give them attention or not.
And because they make such great display animals you can argue they're living art.
Also snakes have given me an excuse to own tons of rodents.... which I also love and now they have a purpose.
