Feed them when you come back, feeding before a trip is not a good idea, should something go wrong while gone you could come back to a disaster.

Not saying something will but the last thing you would want is comeback to a regurgitation should it happen while gone.

I stop feeding 7 days before any trip.

As for your feeding issues feed in the enclosure and if the animal never ate for you offer live until he is consistent and of course make sure your husbandry is optimal.

A table lamp won't produce any heat. Where exactly did you put it??

this table lamp produces somewhat of a substanstial heat.. it usually brings it to 85 on the warm side of the tank on med blast.

Can you take a picture of what your setup looks like? I'm a little confused.

Oh, okay. Mostly I was wondering if the lamp was inside the cage or sitting outside of it? How is it producing all that heat on one side?

Frozen Mice from Petco and Petsmart from Artic Mice are disgusting. Stop buying them unless you like exploding mice.

When they get their shipments in, they dont get to the frozen products right away and they begin to thaw, then refreeze them. Then you buy them and thaw them out thinking they been frozen 100% when they left the breeders.

Best option for a newly aquired snake not eating is i feed live for 3-5 meals, then i go to pre killed for 3-5 meals, then move to frozen.

I surely hope, being your in a warm climate that the heating pad and lamps are being controlled by a thermostat. When ran full blast, youll prolly come home to a cooked snake if temps spiked in the room over night
