    School show and tell

Yes! I have been asked to bring our unusual pets in. SO i need help with something to say to the kiddies about the BP's and all the ordeals with them. By ordeal i mean the laws and the bad things done to them and any snake in general. I have to do K-7. I'll keep it simple for K,1, but start adding more for the higher grades. I'll also be bringing in my Bearded dragons as well. Thank you all. I really want to get the point across that snakes aren't evil, slimy or man eaters. Also want to speak about conservation as well. (school is big into conservation and ecology) Any help will be welcomed.

You should give information about the snakes and let people be around them and interact with them at their own pace. Once they realize that snakes aren't slimy, they will be more open to other information.

I used to be scared to death of snakes and it didn't matter if it was a grass snake or a huge one! I began learning more about them and then even touched one! My main thing was I thought snakes would bite me regardless and had been told not to "mess" with snakes. Being around them any amount of time helped me a lot!

I plan on letting people warm up to them slowly. Our kids will be the one who will be handling them and telling a little about them and how we came to get them. I'm not planning on doing this until sometime in April...when it is a little warmer and my female Beardie has laid her eggs. So i have a little time yet. Thank you both.
