I think my retic is drowning from fluid in her lungs.. help?
My husbandry is flawless. 80's on the low 93 to 94 on the high. Humidity is probably low, but I have a dehumidifer in the next room so I mist at least once a day. I'm uploading the video right now to youtube, and be warned I do curse once because I'm quite distraught right now. She is quite literally projectile vomiting clear water like fluid. She only does it once or twice in the video but she did it at least 4 times before I realized my phone was in my pocket. Every time was a good bit of fluid. She hasn't been soaking in the water tub, she's been in her hide the last few days as she's about to go into shed.
She had early RI symptoms 3 months ago but I had her given baytril shots just as a safety measure.. what could cause such an issue..? The video is huge but as soon as it's done uploading (should be around 8:30 est.. 1mb upload and it's 155mb)
thanks..

Apparently this can be caused by her drinking too much water..? Either way I'm still really worried. Has anyone else had this happen to their animals?

I have never seems anything like tht before. I've had three snakes with pretty bad RI's and none of them did that. Has she/he been eating fine? Maybe just had some water go down the wrong pipe or something. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

This is really weird. I can't be of much help either, I really hope someone can tell you what is happening. Every google search I tried was either irrelevant or said that it was water regurge. I hope that's all it is - keep watching her.

I HAVE seen a burm and retic of mine do this before. I honestly believe its from drinking so much water at one time. It wouldn't hurt to bump the humidity up a bit, but just keep an eye on her.

I agree that it looks like water. I do not have large snakes nor have I seen this before, but I just know that I almost do this when I drink a lot of water and then bend over.

Re: I think my retic is drowning from fluid in her lungs.. help?
This happened to my ball python once, but I was handling her. It ended up just being water that she had just drank that got worked up. If she is big I'm sure she would be able to hold and release quite a bit of water. I hope it turns out to just be this!

I've had this happen to two of my BPs. If I gave them SUPER cold water (which I have done on accident a few times) and they drink it - it kinda just sits there, cause its cooling them down so they can't properly move it as far as it needs to go. I'd give her room temperature water and see if that changes anything.
