New enclosure for my snake!!! Help

Ok so I move my snake into it's new enclosure new set up do I wait a week to handle her like when I first got her so she can get use to it and know it's safe

Personally I would wait at least a couple days, preferably until she's taken a meal in the new enclosure before handling her unnecessarily so that she can get her bearings in the new setup.

I've found with ball pythons, taking things slower is almost always better than rushing into something. Letting your snake settle for a week or so can't hurt, and it might help

If your snake was feeding regularly I'd wait until (24 hours) after she feeds in the new enclosure. I agree with slim rushing is never a good idea.

I don't feed her in her enclosure I always feed her in her box

Do what ever works for you and your snake, but there is no real reason to feed her outside of her enclosure. In fact, there are a couple of good reason why you shouldn't feed in a seperate box.

Well I do it so she won't think my hand is food when I go to handle her pluss I don't want the Coco husk substrate that I have doesn't get stuck on her food when she swallows it

The sense of smell of a snake is better than a dog for the most part. She will not mistake your hand for food unless you smell like a rat. I also use coco coir and just feed on it I place a plastic sheet down to help keep them from eating too much some isn't much of an issue.

I have (actually just forever-homed) a rescue whom the previous rescuers had for 12 months he never ate for them. They used a feeding bin. He just was so stressed by the move that he refused to eat. I had him for 5 days and he ate and has not refused anything in 10 weeks. Not all snakes will feed in a separate container. If yours will that is great if not...

Theres a better chance youll get bit feeding in a seperate enclosure. When you go to move your snake out of its feeding bin it could likely think youre food too and bite you. Also ingesting a bit of coco coir wont hurt your snake at all.
