One more quick question about shed
My BP shed lastnight. It was a clean shed except for about and inch or so at the bottom of the tail. I want to get it off, but he is hungry now because yesterday was hid feeding day so IDK if I should feed him, wait and then get it off or get it off before I feed him. Should I let him swim in the bathtub or use a damp wash cloth and let him pass through it to get it off. Any input would be greatly appreciated. TY!!!

damp cloth, use warm water, then gently try to get it off. after you get it off or figure out that it you can't get if off then go ahead and feed him.

I still don't know why it didn't come off. The humidity was perfect. Is it bad if it dont come off?

It doesn't mean that there is something wrong, there are many factors that go into a good shed. Stress can ruin a shed before it even starts. As long as you provide the proper temperatures and humidity you should have a god shed next time round. Bad sheds happen to everyone from time to time. They can be a pain to deal with but they certainly are not the end of the world or a definite sign that you are doing something wrong.
If the stuck shed doesn't come off it can cause problems, but usually only if it is a "ring" (as in the piece of stuck shed goes all the way around the snakes body) This can cause issues when they grow in diameter... but lets worry about that when the time comes. for now just give it your best shot to get it off. if using a damp cloth doesn't work there are other things you can try.

It's only a piece about an inch maybe not even starting at the tail and coming up. So basically he shed from head all the way down to the tail except fo an inch or so... It's not that much. Thx for the input

Re: One more quick question about shed
Ok I got the little bit of shed off that was left near the tail. It wasn't much at all. I held him over the sink and used warm water and ran my hands gentley down the tail. It took a couple times and it came off. Just in time too because right after that he took a huge dump in my sink. I must have loosened things up with the warm water and the gentle rubbing with my hand. I didn't know they could go this much! LOL. It was the first time I saw this in person as I only had him for 3 weeks. He ate a small rat (f/t) right after that too. Just wanted to share the update.

I have had good success removing the bit of shed you're talking about by holding the snake on a towel with a wet corner. Hold the moistened corner of the towel around the tip of the tail for 2 or 3 minutes, then with the damp towel use gentle pressure and roll your fingers / slide the towel toward the tip of the tail repeatedly.
The motion and resulting effect should be similar to rolling off a condom. Only example that really fits. The skin will actually roll off if it's moist enough.

A condom... yes you are exactly right. I used my hand though after I put the damp cloth on the tail for a bit. I kept wetting my hands as I was doing it. Then he pooed!!! LOL
