Why would he retire...compare Brady's and Manning's careers(minus Super Bowl wins) and Manning is clearly a good step ahead. He's the smartest and most fundamentally efficient quarterback in the league by a long shot. If he plays his cards right and signs with the team that suits his needs best, he has a good 4 years left in him.

To hell with comparing careers. Compare injuries. Bradys big injury was a knee. Very important to mobility and planting for throws considering bradys best attribute is his velocity and long balls. And all his docs said he will never be what he was because it was a knee. Now look at peyton. He had a neck injury where it was fully repaired. Yes also an important part of mobility but with a difference. Peyton was never a velocity qb. He didnt rely on the long ball. He is a precision pick ya apart passer. Plus all the docs involved and experts not involved have all said his neck is 100%. The only issue is nerve damage which is repairable on its own through regeneration so the nerves will come back. The neck injury and knee injury are totally different. As you may think the neck is worse, it is not with this type of injury. The knee is something you never come back 100% from. Manning also has something no other qb in the game has ever had. His brain. He is by far the smartest qb to ever play the game. He will be back and will make irsay pay for giving up on him. Now for me free agency is boring cause im an eagles fan thru and thru.

Exactly. They said on ESPN not a couple of days ago that Peyton would prefer to stay out of the NFC.

Peyton is all done, remember even before the injury he was having a horrible season, he was throwing picks left and right. And now going into a new system, his best days are behind him. This will be like when Joe Montana went to the chiefs.....forgotten.

I have to disagree with a lot you just said here. Brady's best attribute is not a long ball by any means. He had one season with Moss where the long ball was a big threat. Brady is known for short routes to the slot receivers underneath coverage, and now his two great TE's getting as much YAC as possible. But Bradys greatest attribute can not not be seen or measured and that is his decision making and ability to read defenses, hence him falling so far in the draft. Peyton is famous for his long balls to Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and others over the years. Either way they are both field generals and can pick a defense apart. But to say Bradys big theat is his hard throwing and long balls is just not accurate.

I'm sorry but that little part you put in there about minus super bowl wins isn't so little lol come on man. It's the reason they play the game. I can guarantee you Peyton would trade in all his regular season records for a couple rings.
Also why are people talking as if Brady has fallen off? He came back from the knee injury to win NFL MVP unanimously(first time anyone has done so) And took the Pats who had the last ranked defense in the league all the way to the super bowl. I would have to say that's far from falling off.

Rob. I am not even going to argue tom bradyvwith you seeing you are from new england. My wife is from boston, my moms side of the family is from millinocket maine, and i catch enough crap from my inlaws and family about not being a pats fan so i know how die hard you guys are lol. Now with that said i should clarify. I didnt mean at all that bradys only attribute was the long ball. What i meant was brady is and always been a rifleman. His throws have so much velocity on them. A knee injury affects his style of game more then the neck injury will effect peytons. There is no doubt brady and peyton are in the top 5 best qbs to ever play the game. Peyton i would say is the best when it comes to reading defenses and making adjustments. Im not saying peytons best days are in front of him but by no means is he done. Not only is he gonna be a force but wherever he goes he brings the manbing factor. Players are gonna want to play for him and with him just like they do for brady. If i had to pick a qb to play for me down by a score with 2 minutes left in the big game it would be bradyball the way. That dude is money.

@snakelab, hahaha well at least you know how nuts we are about our Pats here in New England. My sons name is Brady and my father and I are season ticket holders so yeah we love our Pats. Now can Peyton come back? We will see, the odds are not in his favor. coming off injury, aging, and what I think is the biggest obstacle going to a new system with new players. So was he great yup, but the way I see it going is the same way Montana's career went after the niners. But hey will will just have to watch and find out!
