Heat and humidity is hard to maintain in a tank in good room temps, nevermind in a cold drafty basement with no temperature control....
Just texted with my fiancee (he is at home and i am at work) about the temps and humidity in the tank. It has dropped again. I cant keep doing this to her. I will be switching to a tub system ASAP. Thanks for all the help guys.

My first thought was to buy an oiled filled heater and run it near the tank. I would also add a Ranco thermostat if you do get a heater. That may be a little cheaper than switching everything. Good luck. Glad to see you care enough to consider a complete change. With that kind of dedication I'm sure your snake will do fine.

In the end, im not happy about how much money i spent on that old setup just to change it. But its not about me. Its about Kiva and what is going to keep her happy and healthy

Since deciding earlier to throw in the towel on the glass tank and switch to tubs, I have been through the previously posted link to Vypyrs tub setup numerous times and went to the store after work to buy a tub. I bought a sterilite rolling under bed container. It is 60 quarts and measures 34 5/8 x 18 3/4 x 7. This is tall enough for all her hides (not for the climbing branch though ). What uth is suggested for a tub this size and should I mount it to the tub or to the exo terra cabinet the tub will be sitting on? I am currently using cypress bark for bedding, is there bedding that would be better for a tub? Sorry again about the questions. I want to get it right this time.
