    Thoughts please...

Ok, so i love dinkers, the fact each one is unique is an appeal to me plus the idea that one may prove out as genetic keeps it interesting. However, this female is doing my head in to a different level.
Background. Got her 4 years ago as a wc sub adult She stood out a mile from the others as she was so dark and blushes were a deep mahogany. I was and still am sure there is something genetic there. I Grew her up to breeding size and introduced her to a het albino i had. Copulations were seen and repeat introductions also resulted in copulations.
    Nothing came of it.
Next year a pastel was introduced to her and like the year before many copulations were observed. Nothing came of it.
This year i started earlier with her cycle and introduced pastel again with her. Lots of copulations, even bowl wrapping, nothing so far coming from it.

With all the talk of certain morphs being "sterile" is it possible that this girl has a gene which is effecting her color but also making her sterile too?
when in shed she is near black, and when sat next to a "normal" there is sooooo much difference ( i have a pic on pc with her next to het albino and will take one of her next to a different normal to compare)

    Re: Thoughts please...

I wouldn't be so quick to call her sterile. I bought one of my dinkers in 2009 already at 2400g, labeled as a 2004 CH virgin. She well enough size and age to breed but she didn't go for me. she was bred by males several times, kept a plulp look and even built follicles only to reabsorb them this was my 3rd year trying to breed her and I finally got eggs.
They just go when they good and well feel like it lol. I kinda see why she was sold in the first place, just plain stubborn for so long.

Does chocolate fire exist anywhere? I love the blushing on her head.

She makes me think het Red Axanthic.

Some snakes take longer than others to decide to go. She'll most likely go when she gets good and ready to, probably around the same time you give up on her completely.

Yeah, probly when you give up on her and send her to me...

I'd say figure out getting her ultrasounded, and watch for follicle growth. Most likely she's just not ready. I wouldn't guess she's sterile, though.
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!
