my humidity keeps dropping to 40% any tips?

Since I use lamps it is hard for me to keep my humidity above 50% I can get it to 60% but then it just seems to dwindle back down as the temp rises. I have a screen top but I have it covered 3/4 with a piece of cardboard covered in foil with holes in it. Any other tips to keep the humidity up?

here are 2 threads that have excellent humidity solutions:

as long as you can keep the humidity between 40% & 60% you will be fine. the only time humidity needs to be higher than that is during shed. During shed try to get it up to 60%-80%

humidity doesn't need to be constant, you can provide "humidity cycles" basically you mist the cage and get it up as high as you can. you then wait until the humidity has dropped to 40%, then mist again

Yeah, the battle with humidity in glass tanks and heat lamps isn't a fun one, it's the main reason why I switched to PVC cages like these: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...With-Pictures!
