I have to say I agree. Trace back some of the posts on here that she's written and you can kind of watch the story play out. Controlling boyfriend gives an ultimatum, me or the snakes. She comes on and gets the advice of everyone on here that boyfriends come and go, follow your heart and passion. Next day, boyfriend was gone. Snakes have come and gone since then and somehow the boyfriend has come back... Take it for what it is... Farewell for now Lacey, I don't doubt that you'll be back eventually. I just urge you to consider that these pets should be long term commitments, not something to take in and get rid of as your whims change. Commit or don't commit, then stick to your guns and don't let anyone else change who you are or what you want for your life... Good luck in whatever you choose from here...

Sounds like bad news all around. As others have said, not having BPs is no reason to leave a community of people that you like talking with. Many of us (me included) do not have any BPs. I only have a couple of geckos, and when/if I get a snake, it's unlikely to be a BP, but that doesn't change the fact that I like this community of people.

Anyway, I hope things turn out well for you.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

Regardless of the circumstances, we should all respect Lacey's decision and wish her well. She has obviously thought long and hard in regards to her animals and online accounts...

And when she needs support, we'll always be here for her.

Although I cant say I disagree with anyone here, I have to say shes probably a smart girl and she will figure things out on her own. We all do. Making mistakes is important in life so that we can learn from them. Not saying shes making any mistakes at all, but I dont think we really know the situation well enough to pass judgement. I just wish her well and hope that she finds happiness in whatever she decides to do.

x2 if he's really that controlling that he's making you give up something that you love, then it's not a healthy relationship.

We haven't spoken much, but you seem pretty lovely. If you need an ear, ever, shoot me a message. I'll give you my email address. We all need someone to spill to at some time or another. (:

Nope, that's just the start of many worse things to come. Please don't get yourself trapped in a relationship if these things are going on. Don't be afraid to break free. If he is abusive, there are places you can turn for help too. Because a lot of the time control freaks seem to be the abusive ones as well. I hope for your sake, this isn't the case. Best of luck to you, you are always welcome back here.
