Admittedly, my doomsday prepping is kind of focused on a zombocalypse (zombie apocalypse) but the idea is still the same. Every time I am at home depot, I have an eye on a particular trailer wrench.... but basically, my strategy is mobility, and a limited band of people to accompany me at any given time. While other people arround offer a certain level of protection, there can also be big issues, and I cannot be dependent on other people in order to survive. I know how to fish, and I know basic survival in the wild, but I don't have guns, am not very strong, and do not want to rely on stockpiling, or carrying anything that will weigh or slow me down, or anything loud that may draw unwanted attention. I can climb trees easily, and I can fit into small spaces, and I have good negotiation skills. I know my strengths, but perhaps more importantly, I know my weaknesses, and I am prepared, perhaps in ways a little differently than others.
