Yeah, a stockpile of junk that will run out of fuel, and other people will want to steal--not the best survival tactic. Just learning what edible plants look like in your area = MUCH better plan.
Investing a lot of money in something not likely to actually happen, not the wisest choice. If it doesn't fit in a backpack and double as emergency gear in case you get lost in the woods, it's probably too much.
Knowledge keeps people alive, not stuff.
