If the best you can do is across the room, that IS NOT quarantine. You run the very real risk of losing not only the snakes you just bought, but your established collection.
If you cannot quarantine at least in a different room, pass on them. If they need help that badly, contact any rescues in the area for ideas on one who can accept snakes.
