    switching from mice to rats

    has any1 had any trouble with this? if so how did you fix it or did u just give up and stay on mice

    There are alot of different ways to do it succesfully. Keep trying and dont give up! Although some do stay on mice forever, itd be more convenient if you can get them onto rats...

    I'm deffinatly determined to get him on rats...the breeder said he's taken rats b4 But that was in January so hopefully he will go back to them

    If the breeder had him on rats why did you offer mice???

    because i couldnt get any rats i wouldnt deliberatly switch back to mice

    Put both the feeder mouse and rat into the enclosure. Your snake will smell the mouse and go into kill mode. He will probably strike whatever moves. Maybe put the mouse in a box with holes so your snake can smell it, but not eat it so the rat has a higher chance at getting eaten. When I switched my pinstripe, I put a mouse and a rat into his tub. He took the mouse first. I was a little bummed out. But a second later he took the rat. And ever since, he's been in rats.

    you think i could just rub the rat all over a mouse and try that?

    Possibly, but you may need to scent the rat longer. Like leave them together for a night or something.

    ok, im hoping i dont have a problem with it, usually he doesnt pay attention at all and once i bump him with the mouse he immediatly hits it so hopefully he will just go for it
