    I don't think I've heard of that one either.
    Im sure thousands of people in the 'old days' had to sew their own dresses. I feel like marriage was more successful back then than today's standard. With that said, it may actually help you? Haha.

    I come from an Asian background, so I hear a lot of superstitious wives tales. I don't really believe in such things, but my mother and relatives do. They always make me counter the original superstition with something equally "lucky". I guess you can try something like that...

    If you're really worried, get a friend or someone else to sew the dress. And you can design it and overlook the process?
