I had my gall bladder removed, not really because it needed to be yet, but that's a longer story. I only a few muscle stitches at my belly button and then all the skin ports were dermabonded... but the surgeon put so much on that it dripped into and sealed off my belly button! It held a bit of my stomach pinched together and I couldn't completely straighten up w/o it tugging if you can imagine what that'd look like. (And it stung a bit.)
I went two weeks later for my check up and this old, really nice, surgeon guy cracked up so hard he turned red. Apparently, it is not uncommon to get glue into the belly button, but he's never had it hold for longer than a week. He thought it was hysterical that at two weeks I was sealed shut... it took another week before it was loose enough for me to pry it open! (I had to ask for help too! LOL) On the other hand you can't see any scar near my belly button, but the rest have become little white annoying bumps... I guess next time I'll ask for the "pinch and glue" treatment all over!
Hope you are getting better every day!
