    Rack system safe?

This is my new RBI rack, my wife is not completely sold that my BP's will not be able to escape from the tubs.
What has been your guys experience as far as security with your rack system.

I have never had an escape from a tub in a rack that was constructed properly and closed completely. Since it's RBI, you don't have to worry about the first, and as long as you push the tubs all the way back in, you don't have to worry about the second.

I use nothing but racks for my ball pythons. I have several racks from hatchlings to adults and have had no excapes. I have very similar racks to what you have pictured and no excapes. As long as you gap is around 1/8 or 1/4 inch you will have no problem with that rack.......Good luck with your snakes.

As long as you push the tubs all the way in, you'll be fine. The few escapees I have had were from me not pushing the tub in all the way.

Yup, they're safe. As long as the tubs are pushed in your BP's will not be able to escape.

    Congrats on the new rack!

Something that you can do if you are worried about them getting out is to put a bar on front of the rack like in this video:

Racks are safe as long as you remember to close them all the way
And if the rack was built by Rich you can certainly rest assured.

Plus, Rich puts those nice little tabs in front that sort of lock the tubs in place. Those tubs aren't going anywhere, nor are the snakes in them.

    Re: Rack system safe?

I have used Reptile Basics and homemade racks for years with no escapes. I do not use any bars or tabs in front of my racks.
