    Acclimation Period

So I have 5 new snakes, they came to me on saturday via UPS. I have them in their tubs, temps set correctly, and i am leaving them alone to get their bearings about them. They are due to be fed on tuesday, should i attempt a feed or wait until the week long acclimation period is over?

I would wait the full week, you are quarantining them all correct?

    Re: Acclimation Period

Let them rest a week. Then try to feed in tub with minimal invasion. Drop in food, and let them be. It's terrible waiting, but best for the snakes well being. The waiting game sucks.

Whew! Five snakes at a time. Good luck waiting! I have a tough time waiting for one at a time!

You can try and feed tomorrow if you want, but you may save some time, stress, and rats if you just wait the whole week out.

    Re: Acclimation Period

It is completely up to you if you want to wait or not. Whenever I receive a new animal in it gets offered food on my already scheduled feeding days, whether it is the same day I get the animal or a few days later (4 days max because my babies and juveniles are on a 5 day schedule).
