    Feeding question

I just done feeding my new BP for the second time, the first time she slammed two adult mice. this time I also picked up a rat pup and two mice, incase she didn't want the rat pup. Well she slammed the rat pup then both mice and she didn't hesitate once even on the last mouse. Her weight when i picked her up was 170G's, am i feeding her to much?? What and how much would you feed her??

Do you have a scale? You should feed your snake a rodent or rodents that weigh 15% of your snakes weight.

Absolutely...I don't know what size the adult mice you're feeding your snake are, but IMO, 2 adult mice and 1 rat pup is far too much for a 170 gram snake. Too much food at once can cause much stress to the snakes stomach, the snake may not just be able to handle it and regurgitate, and although not common, but I have seen it once, is a ruptured stomach, which will kill the snake.

A scale is an essential tool for ball python husbandry. You can find them for reasonable prices at Wal-Mart, Office Depot and Staples.
