keep trying f/t or try live?

I've had my new ball for 2 weeks now (Sat), tried to feed after the first week f/t and Bp refused, ended up shedding after that on Wed so I figured that was why it refused, 2nd attempt to feed f/t yesterday and refused. Should I try live or just keep trying the f/t?

Did you buy it as a f/t feeder?

Re: keep trying f/t or try live?

Local pet store just got it in a day or 2 before I bought it (I say it because Idk if its m/f) so yea Idk wut it was fed they prolly wouldn't have either, but it just tries to avoid the f/t and wants nothin to do with it, I even sat them under the heat lamp for 10-15 mins to prescent and nothin, heated again with a blow dryer thinking it was maybe too cold, even left overnight in front of hide..

How long did you wait before you tried to feed him/her?

Ok, I would try f/t a few more times, and if he/she doesn't eat then I would try live. After 2 successful feedings on live try fresh killed. After 2 successful feedings on fresh killed try F/T again

Re: keep trying f/t or try live?

Try multiple methods of feeding him f/t some can be picky on how you offer it!.

Try pre scenting the room by thawing it on a paper towel for a few hours on top of his cage.
This really gets my boy going he will even strike at the glass by the time its feeding time lol.

Make sure its warm enough, hit it with a hair dryer and make sure its warm to your touch.
Try dangling it by the tail, and try doing the zombie dance.
