    new thermostat

    I just got a bah 1000 DC heat controller for my 3 tub rack I built I know its not the best one but I had to get something other than dimmers wondering if anyone knows wat would be best for a six or 8 tub rackprob with heat tape that's still under a 100 if just the thermostat possible

    For under $100 the Ranco thermostat is probay the best you can get (they are sold on reptile basics) it would be better if you could get a proportional thermostat like the Herpstat line. For $115 you can get a much better thermostat.

    The VE-200 i bought was $115. If i were you i would just shell out the extra $15 and go for that...

    How many heat sources can u hook up to those thermostat or do u just set the rack up were all heat tape is connected or say each shelf has a plug for that row of tubs

    You can hook up as many as you want providing 2 things:

    1. they are all the same

    2. together they do not go over the maximum wattage of the thermostat

    So the actually thermostat has multiple ports or u hook up like extension cord like the thermostat I have now has three ports to plug into so m three tub rack with heat mats all can go right into it sorry if I sound confusing

    This is the herpstat 4, it has 4 independent thermostats in 1 box (4 outlets and 4 probes)
