I gotta say. The fastest way for me to write off a guy is if he thinks/acts like a pimp.

To a certain extent I call bull. The point is not to act like a pimp but to act with confidence. In general people respond to confidence. "Fake it till you make it" is excellent advice in this regard. So where I am sure you would write of a guy who acts like a pimp I would be willing to bet that you respond to confidence.
