Leacheanus advice
I really want to get a leacheanus at the next nearest expo in april, but im still unsure about it. Ive heard about how they can be aggressive, sometimes bite, and can possibly be tamed, but i figured i'd ask people that own one. And if anyone could give me a care sheet that'd be great too.
Thx-Jake

I have heard some can become cage aggressive. My pair are amazing, they are very handleable. I'd just recommend regular handling and they should be great. The majority of people that I talk to that have adults have zero issues with them being aggressive.

Thank you so much! Would you suggest a male or female?

I don't think it should make that much of a difference.

Babies generally are not cage aggressive. If you handle it a lot as it grows it should help it not to become aggressive, but some (especially females) will become cage aggressive either way. Sometimes once they are out of their established territory they are fine. I have an adult male and female that were not handled much when they were young and I think they would bite my hand off if I just stuck it in their enclosures without being mindful and careful of them. I have another male that I raised from a hatchling and I handled him a lot and I can pretty much reach all around him and do whatever I need to do in his cage with him right there. It really just depends on the individual gecko, but if you get a gecko that is young and you handle it regularly you have a good chance of having a more friendly and calm adult.
