    Trade question...

I am new to this breeding gig and i am trying to get my numbers right. I am a little on the male heavy side right now:

    1.2 pastel
    1.0 mojave
    1.0 pinstripe
    1.0 spider
    1.1 het albino
    1.1 normal

I literally have no use for my pastel male. I have the opportunity to trade him for a hypo female hatch or for a male hatch and a little cash. Do you think either is fair? My 1.0 pastel is ~850 grams, the hatches are ~120 grams. The pastel is no use to me and i would like to bring in the hypo gene.

    Re: Trade question...

If everything checks out and the snake is healthy, I'd definitely trade a larger male pastel for a hatchling female hypo.

That's a sweet deal! Hypo girls are $300-$400 even as hatchlings. Pastel males are maybe worth $150. (if they are good looking ones) Can you post pictures of them?

    Re: Trade question...

Wow, thanks to all of y'all for that response. I cant post pictures of them currently, i did not take a picture of the hypo and the pastel is in my snake room at my girlfriends house. So with the morphs that i already have, what direction would you look for a codom male that is het hypo?

    The female hypo is 100%

I would definitely trade out some of those boys for girls. I made a rule for myself a couple years ago to only buy females unless the male is absolutely stunning, or I actually need him. It's a hard rule to follow, but you won't regret it in the end!

    X4 to the female Hypo!
As far as males go you will have a while to do some browsing and figure out what you like the best. You could do a Pastel Hypo, Mojave Hypo, Black Pastel Hypo, Lesser/Butter Hypo, etc etc etc! Everything looks better with hypo!
So just start looking and find what hypo morph you like the best.

Wait is she hypo or 100% Het Hypo big difference

I would think you would have a smoking pastel if someone wanted to trade a female hypo for him.
