    I had the exact same thing happen with my ball...but I found him pretty quick because I knew there was NO WAY he could have escaped from an Animal Plastics cage. I really liked the fake branch he was crammed inside of so instead of getting rid of it I filled the hole with "Great Stuff" expanding foam so he couldn't get back inside. If you ever do that just be very careful that you don't spray too much in or it will expand to the point of breaking the decoration. Also, leave it outside of the snake's enclosure for a solid week to make sure there are no fumes left.
