Question about tubs.

I was wondering if there was a way to keep tubs in a room that wasn't 80 degrees. My room stays around 70 and heating it up is not an option, but I read somewhere on here that the room needs to be warm with tubs. I want to get more snakes, but don't want to use any more tanks because they are quite a pain (although I'll probably leave Yuki in her tank until she outgrows it). If tubs are not a good option then what would be the next best thing to use?

Why dont you look into a rack? They would keep themselves heated with heat tape or cables plugged into a thermostat, and take up less space.
I dont see why it would be a problem as long as the inside of the tubs were kepts warm.

My room is about 75 and I have tubs. I haven't had any problems yet. Snakes are still all healthy.
However, I also have them in a rack, where it's more insulated than out in the open.
Also, even though my room is 75, the inside of the tub is still 90(hot)-80(cold).

If tubs aren't good for you, then I would look at animal plastics(T8) and other reptile enclosures.
They're more expensive, but they work great for heat and humidity.

Might be because of the tank or I bought a faulty uth but it did nothing for the temps in her tank (currently unplugged since it was crap) and with my room at 70 degrees I can't get the cool side of her enclosure over 77 (hot side stays 88-90 with heat lamp). Does heat tape work better or did I just get a bad uth?

UTHs are not designed to raise the ambient temp in a tank. Too much airspace to try and heat.

Heat tape works exactly the same as an UTH.
However, because tubs are smaller, it's easier to heat than a tank.
Like I mentioned before, my room is 75. Inside of my tubs is 90-80, hot-cold respectively. The heat tape allows a nice heat gradient in tubs.

If you have problems with the cool side of a tub, you can always supplement with another heating element to run on a lower temp than the hot side.

I currently am using heat cable and it works great. However Heat tape works really well also as long as you have both of these connected to a good thermostat.
